Verifiable, the industry-leading credentialing and monitoring platform, today announced Provider Demographic Data Management, a new feature designed to help healthcare organizations collect provider demographic information seamlessly during application intake. Armed with a comprehensive view of their providers, healthcare leaders can ensure ongoing safety and regulatory compliance, and improve cultural competency and care quality by matching providers with diverse patient populations.
The Provider Demographic Data Management feature launches just as new National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) requirements take effect this July, mandating that all provider credentialing applications collect expanded demographic data on gender and ethnicity. With this enhanced capability, both current and prospective Verifiable customers can achieve full compliance with updated NCQA requirements while also unlocking actionable insights that drive meaningful impact.
“It’s more critical than ever for healthcare organizations to modernize their provider data management,” said Janan Dave, VP of Operations at Verifiable. “As regulatory standards grow more rigorous, Provider Demographic Data Management empowers healthcare leaders with the insights they need to stay fully compliant, ensure quality, and meet patient needs.”
Research has consistently shown that demographic concordance between healthcare providers and patients can help improve health outcomes, increase patient satisfaction, and improve communication. Industry regulators have also taken note. Beyond the updated NCQA requirements, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) also emphasizes the importance of collecting demographic data. CMS has released a series of resources to help healthcare organizations adopt and implement these practices effectively.
Today’s news follows several years of growth for the company, including raising a total of $47 million from industry-leading investors and securing high-profile customers in digital and legacy healthcare, such as Humana, Modern Health, and Talkspace. In 2024, the company received the Salesforce Partner Innovation Award, a program that celebrates the most groundbreaking initiatives across its partner ecosystem.
“In an often siloed healthcare technology ecosystem, we know how important it is to develop products that are flexible, configurable, and easy to integrate into existing platforms and processes,” said Verifiable founder and CEO Nick Macario. “The ongoing success of our Salesforce AppExchange partnership, which enables our customers to manage their networks at scale, has only underscored this belief. With today’s launch–we’re taking another step towards driving greater efficiency, accuracy, and quality care from the moment providers start their applications.”
